Event Details

Join the Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program for games, snacks and to learn about human trafficking in our community and how to combat it.

Human Trafficking is
  • modern day slavery
  • exploiting a person through force, fraud, or coercion
  • sex trafficking, forced labor and domestic servitude
  • happening everywhere, even in Athens County
  • any person under the age of 18 involved in a commercial sex act

SAOP is a rape crisis center in southeast Ohio that empowers the community and all survivors to live free of sexual violence, domestic violence and stalking. SAOP is funded by grants including the Rape Crisis Fund grant and Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding awarded by the Office for Victims of Crime, through the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Victims of federal crimes will be served through SAOP services.
